Dreary

The rain that we so need is up there somewhere. The clouds are charcoal grey and foreboding.

Still, no rain is forecast and apparently any that we do get will not be enough to rescue the poor farmers who are struggling currently with drought conditions.

I'm just looking at Pio, all curled up and snug in the study alongside me. Cousteau is ensconced on the other side.

In a moment, I have to package poor Pio up in the cat carrier to take him to the vet for his final Feline AIDS vaccination. He's not a happy chappy once he gets in that carrier, so I'm putting it off for as long as I can.

Somehow this dead flower struck a chord with me today and seemed an appropriate blip.

Night all.
