Davaar House

Short walk round the block in between meetings. Having discovered the Derelict Sunday challenge the other week I was itching to have a go, derelict stuff has always interested me. This is an easy effort. Davaar House was built in 1879 at a cost of £4,000 for a prominent wine merchant. It now stands ruined, after the property developer who built the apartment block behind it(occupied but not finished) went bust. I believe that the old house was to be restored and form a lobby entrance to the apartments.

I got this shot with a long lens at just after 5 this arvo. Hope to get out before work with a wider angle lens tomorrow and see how it looks in the morning light.
