Sunday 12 April 2009: Cuddy Ducks
or more correctly Cuddy's (St Cuthberts) Ducks. These are actually Eider Ducks (hence Eiderdown). There were the subject of the first ever bird protection Law in AD676, when St Cuthbert petitioned for their protection.
These were almost up against the seawall at Seahouses, with the tide right in.
