The Aire at Saltaire!
What a glorious afternoon. I suggested to my friend we meet up today instead of Friday as it looks like it’s going to turn chilly. As it happens she has got her appt for her second vaccination on Friday so today was good all round.
We met in Saltaire and had a cuppa sitting on a bench in Roberts Park, it was pretty breezy there but as we walked alongside the river either the wind dropped or it was a lot more sheltered as it felt much warmer. It probably is quite sheltered as there were lots of wild flowers including my first sighting of Wood Anemones and my first Bluebell about to open!
There were rowers on the river from Bradford Rowing club but my shots were too much into the sun.
When we reached the junction of the river and the canal, where I took the blip, we found the canal side path was closed so we had to cross over the bridge and return via Hirst Woods.
Luckily everywhere was dry underfoot unlike the last time we walked this way.
All the Saltaire buildings looked great against the blue sky.
A lovely afternoon walk and chat.
