Bluster

Wind from the south whipped up waves on the lake today. I decided to try my hand at some long exposure shots, but it's been so long, I faffed around, not really getting what I'd hoped for. In principle it's a straightforward procedure, but in practice buffeted by the wind, not so.

I decided shots with a 6-stop having some movement evident in the water, worked the best. Some of those with 10-stops were so dark and were unusable. Even then I had to raise the exposure by almost 2.5 stops, creating problems with colour. Fortunately by its nature it's a soft image, so softening from noise reduction was not an issue.

Extra: Bluster II - no filter.
