Hungry ladybird

Another gloriously sunny day. We even opened windows and doors to cool the house down a bit. I sat in the garden reading a book this afternoon. Then I noticed all the buds on the trees and this ladybird high up in the apple tree. It was not until I looked closely at the photo afterwards that I saw all the tiny insects that it was presumably seeking.
