Skenfrith Castle

One of a group of three Castles. White Castle nearby is more complete and impressive but Skenfrith is by the river and popular with families wanting a picnic or a swim. It looks a bit knocked about but as it hasn't really been used since the 13th Century I expect that most of the damage was caused by locals looking to build extensions to their houses. Skenfrith is busy at the moment with builders repairing flood damage. One of the disadvantages of living near a river.
