Snow!

Wednesday
As predicted, we had a decent amount of snowfall overnight - anything from 3 - 8 inches across the region - in our area it was about 4 inches. It was raining much of yesterday, then it turned over to snow in the evening as the temperatures dropped - it was already snowing when I went to bed last night, and it had pretty well wrapped up by the time we got up. It was a very wet snow, and was coating all the branches of the trees - it really looked a picture. Snow in March isn't that common - 2008 was the last time - and for some perspective: since 1871, there have only been 40 days when 3"+ of snow fell in Cincinnati in a single day in March. The other thing about snow at this time of year is that it doesn't hang around for long - by the weekend the temperatures will be in the 50s (F)!
Roger decided to work from home for a few hours and give the roads a chance to clear - there were quite a number of accidents during the main rush hour. It was afternoon before I got out for a walk at Glenwood Gardens - but it was a bit disappointing - they didn't seem to have as much snow over there, and not as much stuck to the branches, so it wasn't quite as pretty, but it was good to get out and get some fresh air.
I apologize for my lack of posting recently - I've been low in spirits, and just lost my motivation and inspiration - not helped by colorless, overcast winter days.

We were in warmer climes a year ago - in Florida - Limpkin
