Aubrieta

As I said yesterday we had to make a quick trip to the Lodge just to finalizes everything for the guests arriving tomorrow.   As the sun  was shining I wandered round and took many of the same photos as I did yesterday.  "Just in case" as is my wont.

This common plant crops up all over the place often growing in walls.  This one is among the stones which form a sort of rockery under the verandah.  Despite it being so common I wonder how many people realise it is a member of the Brassicaceae the same group as cabbages.
