Spring awakening!

Burning again! Tomorrow's forecast is for rain after nearly 3 weeks without. So this will be the final day of this recent spell of good weather and the last chance for a bonfire for a while. The sun struggled to break through the clouds and was mostly hidden. But with the number of stacks reducing, the clumps of daffodils are more evident. This pair looks good and strong, sitting on the top of the bank above the burn. The three stout limbs in the middle-background are part of the same ash tree, which is completely hollow. The dark hole beyond is the mouth of a culvert that carries the burn under the main road.
