Sally Mair - Loving life

Time for a Cleo blip. She's enjoying the sunshine here half way up the stairs!
Today was Colin's birthday so we've seen both of the girls plus one husband and one granddaughter. Good of Ali and Stuart to give up a day of their honeymoon, which of course has been spent at home. Still with weather like this it's not really a hardship!
Katy and Eilidh came this morning and stayed for lunch. Eilidh is continuing to develop her skills on stilts and to her delight managed over 20 steps today. They headed off to meet some friends and go to Portobello beach this afternoon. I'm so glad our schoolchildren are still on holiday and able to enjoy this week's warmer weather.
The post brought more birthday cards, pure postal votes which are not straightforward, far to many candidates on the regional list. I don't understand the point of some of them. The other surprise was Colin's new passport. Applied for online on Monday and in his hands on Thursday .... and it's BLUE.... so worth all the havoc of the last 16 months to have a nice blue covered passport.
Ali and Stuart arrived late afternoon complete with a delicious chocolate and raspberry cake. (see extra) Yet again the weather has been lovely and we were outside almost all day.
We have eaten so much today that the birthday tea may be slightly reduced.
Keep safe everybody. It all changes tomorrow and we can start to travel. I don't think we'll be going anywhere for a while yet though. I do hope things stay under control.
