Mum's Day Out pick up

Playing with Mum's cat whilst my Mum watches youtube clips of Aznavour's She, and Jean Sablon's La Mer (she knows his version best).

My Mum's day out programme plays her a lot of (country &) western music because she lives where she lives. And while she manages to like some of it. (A bit of Anne Murray here, a dash of Gordon "too many words" Lightfoot there) Most of it is not "to her taste".
So to stop the situation turning sour after a moany drive back to hers. I sometimes try to remind her of music she's not heard in a while. It doesn't always work...

Aznavour's performance was probably too gender blurring for her liking, (i wasn't watching) but she said "loved the song"... and i heard her singing along at points
Jean Sablon videos are scarce so it was just the tune. She loved that... I'd not heard of Jean Sablon, but I want to know more about his orchestral arranger.

... she was less negative after that. More tearful, but less negative. So we chatted about Joanne Whorley or Vicky Lawrence or something for a bit, and i pointed out that the sitcom she likes is still on Thursday evenings.

Snow maybe still forecast for tomorrow but the radio said it might stay south of Ottawa.
