How much wood could a woodchuck chuck......?

....or a fine team of Mabel and Miss Pickles? About 8 cubic metres, they reckon.

The first fruits of our forest (ok, small wood) have been harvested. All fallen timber and trees that had fallen onto other trees. This batch is Grand Fir and Douglas Fir and will need to be split and dried before burning.

After a rainy start, the sun brought this golden light at the end of the day. Further into the wood it looks as though bluebells are poking their heads into the light of our clearing. Roll on the warm weather!
