Gaoth an ear-tuath

The north east wind (an unusual one in this part of Argyll) has been blowing a gale for more than 36 hours, which is also very uncommon. On the western seaboard of Scotland you get frequent high winds, but they abate quite quickly .

I was woken in the night by the gusts and thought of a picture , using my new tripod which I bought in late December but which was, until today, still in the box.

This is the result.
