a little too red for a House Finch?

Today I really enjoyed a quiet half hour in my garden chair. After a while I saw this red fellow carefully coming closer until he finally sat on the feeder.
I wondered whether it was a Cross Beak, but I guess that it is not.

House is clean, another near 6000 steps are in, and now I am tired. Good night everyone.
