Across Kawau Bay

The deposit has now been paid following yesterday's success at the auction. Final settlement is almost four weeks away, to allow the lawyers to do their bit. In the meantime, we will work out a timetable of changes.

Woke early this morning; because both of us were very tired after the exciting and as it happened very long day. I was making the first pot of coffee for the day, when I saw that the sun was emerging from behind Kawau Island. Had enough time to get my camera and record another Sunday sunrise.

Mid afternoon, I had a jog and paddle (nowhere near oyster shell covered rocks) to get closer to the waders (such as a little Tuturiwhatu). Ultimately, the best bird photo today (see the extra) was a heron on rocks on Fidelis Beach.
