Oskar turns 8

His birthday was yesterday - he had a friend overnight as we were all going to that basketball game which didn't happen. Tonight his parents are at their school auction spending money so the boys are spending the night here. We had Tatum and Fiona and their parents over to help Oskar celebrate- first out for pizza and then home for cake. ( here I just have to add : I was commenting to our overworked but efficient, skinny, tattooed waitress who had finally come to take our order on a surprisingly busy night, that she was the only one waitressing which was too much too hard. As she took our orders she said "no problem, I'm used to it, STAY IN SCHOOL, KIDS!" She got a big tip. )
Oskar wanted a camera for his birthday like the 2 older ones got when they were 8 so his dad did the research and we ended up with this waterproof, shockproof one -a good choice I think. Not exactly like that big square kodak brownie I had as a kid. He's happy. And it continues tomorrow with his friends at a pool party! Whew

Have some family pictures for Flickr but can't seem to get them posted right tonight - maybe tomorrow I'll have better luck.
