Physivic visits Southport

Friday 7th May 2021

A day off today and it was filled with lots of treats. Huddsbird has a campervan and was staying in Southport so I went over to meet up with her. We did a treasure hunt from the Marine Lake then up and down Lords Street. This time we were eliminating places on a treasure map to eventually find where "X" marked the stop of the buried pirate treasure. These town treasure hunts are quite good and certainly make you look at your surroundings and see things you would otherwise have missed.

We had lunch at an outdoor cafe and delicious ice cream outside another. Once we found the location of the buried treasure (which was on an island in the Irish Sea so we couldn't dig it up) we went for a walk all around the Marine lake and then back along the front to the caravan site. After sitting outside for a while we then went for an outdoor drink at a pub, collected fish and chips from the fish bar and returned to the front to park up and sit on the sea wall eating them. We finished our adventure by driving on the beach, it is allowed.

We actually remembered to take Physivic with us too, as you can see in the photo at our lunch stop.

What a lot of treats we fitted in to one day. The weather was gloriously sunny too and very warm at times. We are supposed to be having another day together tomorrow but the forecast doesn't look good.
