A Day Worth Recording

Thurstan

Thurstan Shaw, a quietly powerful member of our Quaker Meeting died today aged 98.

Although we knew him primarily as a true pacifist and leading light of our Meeting, he was hugely influential in Africa in his work as an archaeologist. His discoveries and follow-up work gave a culture back it's historic validity.

That makes writing software to prettify mobile phones somewhat irrelevant by comparison.
