Mothers Day in Stonehaven

Got an invite to a meal today at Stonehaven's Carron Art Deco Restaurant. How could I resist?
Food to die for in a dining area designed in the 1930's to replicate the interior of the ocean queens of yesteryear. The steamship Queen Mary and steamship Queen Elizabeth no less!

Crab soup, Sea Bass Fillets and Chorizo lyonnaise potatoes, citrus vinegarette plus service to smile at.

I have blipped Stonehaven before since it is home not only to this wonderful eatery, but also boasts an Art Deco outdoor seawater heated pool and of course a thriving harbour with fresh lobsters for sale.

On the way back home we passed the "other Carron". It's a chip shop and is a strangely converted monstrosity of a building with a stainless steel chimney and banners flying in the winter wind. Seemingly it's the home of the "deep fried mars bar".
When you visit Stonehaven for goodness sake don't confuse the two
