Wash The Birdie

Struggling for inspiration the last few days, not really struggling but just very busy. Working for Richard today, weeding and mowing the cultivated half acre of lawns and borders. The other half acre is being allowed to go wild which I approve of. It is already showing signs of life with naturally occurring wild flowers and being shaded by tall larches and other mixed woodland it is is a delightful spot to dawdle and just be.
The blip is a slightly abstract view of a new bird bath in my own garden. This makes two nicely ornate places for the birds of our garden to drink and bathe. We love the wide range of birds we see here and do all we can to encourage them, including setting the dog on any cats, squirrels or other predators that dare to enter our modest little haven. Hollie is very quick, but not quick enough so fear not dear reader, no animals have been harmed in the making of this story. But a few have done vertical take offs and cleared a six foot fence with terror in their eyes.. Hee hee, I love it, and Hollie thinks it's a wheeze.
Have a happy Thursday everyone, the weekend is more or less here...

.. and in other news, it seems it's my 200th birthday today... Why wasn't I informed. No surprise really, I am always the last to know. Profound thanks to everyone who has kindly commented and sent best wishes. The cheques are in the post. Hope you don't mind waiting, I can only afford 2nd class stamps. A massive thank you for your superb support and kindness.
