Way Up There
The All About Birds Cornell Lab of Ornithology website opens its description of this warbler with, "The brilliant Prothonotary Warbler bounces along branches like a golden flashlight in the dim understory of swampy woodlands." This is so true, and the marshy area I visited today is where I usually spot them. However, this one happened to be way up high in a tree, although easily recognizable against the bright blue sky.
