Cockfield Lane

Tremendously windy day here. I was due to take portrait photographs of a herd of ponies that were scheduled to arrive on the nature reserve this morning. The photographs are so that the lookers can identify individuals. But their arrival was postponed because of the weather. So the spaniel and I headed for the comparative shelter of Cockfield Lane, an old hollow way, instead. The bluebells are past their best now but here's the same lane in almost exactly the same spot (the same oak tree is on the righthand edge of the image) back in March.
