The Watersplash

I'm really starting to notice the deterioration in the quality of Aberdeenshire's roads this winter. The number of potholes I pass every day reminds me more and more of the road surfaces we saw every day in India on our trip there last November. I guess the Council no longer have the money to maintain them properly, to keep them in the state of repair we've come to expect over the past few decades.

This is what I discovered at around ten past five this evening, just to the east of the Mains of Thornton in Bourtie Parish, Aberdeenshire, roughly midway between the Mains and the junction near Shieldon.

Yet another 'road fault' to report to the Council tomorrow morning...
