a late start today, but we found out not only the Louvre, but all museums are closed on Tuesdays (or at least the ones we wanted to see). oh well, tomorrow i guess.

despite the snowy weather we thoroughly enjoyed the city today. we walked around the jardin de tuileries and saw the outline of the eiffel tower through the clouds. We took the metro to st. germain. walked around and grabbed a bite to eat. B got a soup and I got a salad (which i think had organ meat on it--maybe liver ? whatever it was, it was actually tasty and we got french fries we didn't order...).then strolled around the seine, found the lock bridge and padlocked our love for eternity. Saw notre dame, shopped at shakespeare and co and then headed back to our neighborhood via the metro. on our way back we stopped off at a marche to pick up a few essentials for the apartment.

its wonderful just getting to spend time together. enjoying each others company and sharing the experiences of paris. it's going to be hard to leave and go back to our hectic lifestyles. we are going to live it up while we can.

sante!

edit: mystery meat: duck breast! no wonder it was so tasty!
