A picture postcard of our early morning walk at Derwent Water.  I had thought by getting there around 8am it wouldn't be busy ... wrong!  People and cars everywhere. The Great Wood car park was 3/4 full.  Anyhow we had an hour by the lake and Misty had a swim so that was good.  A lot of activity in the lake too, numerous paddle boarders, kayaks, swimmers and boats.  Busiest I've ever seen it.  Afterwards we walked along a track from the woods which was fairly quiet and has some lovely views.  Home by lunchtime.
