RedBall3: A Day at the Beach

Things are looking up for the RedBall! Today's site is Capitola-by-the-Sea, a neighboring town that always feels like summer vacation. The beach was packed, and lots of kids had fun attacking the ball, never giving up on trying to dislodge it from the bandstand, where, incidentally, the Sunday Ukulele group plays every weekend. Luckily the ball will move on before the music starts.

The Extra shows the ongoing chaos on our block--we are being resurfaced! These trucks were zooming up and down, spraying, laying, smoothing, sweeping. When they get down to it, all of them come down the street at once, carefully coordinated by some invisible director, all noisy as can be, and then they vanish, quick as they came. I kept wishing for a small child to share this entertainment with--fond memories of my grandson and any truck he could get his hands on.

Is that enough excitement for one day?
