Meadow in the between land

This meadow is looking rather wonderful (perhaps at its best?) just now.
While intensive agriculture has pretty much done away with meadows they still can be found  along edges. These flowers are growing between our drive and the village tennis court. Our neighbour strims the whole lot down twice every season, which is a pretty good replacement for old-style hay gathering.

This is the last day of our super warm period, which is not entirely a bad thing as it's hard gardening in blazing sun, and the garden needs some water.  There's a little rain forecast but mostly it's just going to be cooler and a bit breezier.
We made the most of the last warm day, meeting friends by the sea for  Swedish fika (rhubarb crumble + custard with coffee on the side), and then moving on to Rose's for a barbecue, cooked and eaten outside, though we retreated indoors for pudding.
