Palestinian embroidery

One of the beautiful crafts traditional to Gaza is this type of cross-stitch embroidery, which is featured on the traditional dresses made and worn by women, such as Um Jaber.

You can find bags, purses, dresses, and blouses decorated with such bright and beautiful patterns. Many are handcrafted by women in the refugee camps.

This gorgeous bag, a gift from a friend, was made by the talented young people in Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children.
