Pruned, at last

The forsythia has been looking bloated and lumpen for a while and I finally decided this was the year to thin it out.

Light and air for its neighbours. The roses visible from the table. Another section of the lovely wall unveiled.

Fingers crossed the forsythia doesn't collapse with the shock of it all.
