Gently down the stream

Bookended by garlic

This week's been bookended by garlic - garlic from the kitchen on Monday and field garlic, allium oleraceum, today.  I had thought it was crow garlic, but the other seems more likely.  Unfortunately, by the time I caught up with it in a friend's garden on Thurs, the flowers had turned into these papery seedheads.

Strange looking beast for a wildflower, ain't it? It's been sitting in water on a windowsill since then and it's certainly garlic-stinky enough ;))

So here is an entry for this week's WildflowerWeek challenge - we're on to number 14, so please tag as such, dear blipmates.

The rest of the day has been doing more back-up on the computer.  I did see Sis brienfly this morning, which was nice, but that's about it.

Hope yours has been good  xx
