Rocky road

Today went to plan. I spent most of it in the kitchen. First I cooked, then I entertained.

In Part 1 I made: two batches of soup (spiced squash; roast tomato and pepper); rocky road (blipped); aubergine and courgette pasta bake; and rhubarb fool (with Katharine's home-grown produce).

In Part 2 Paddy and Caitlin were our guests. We played Catan (I won), Azul (Mr hazelh won), and Mysterium (we all lost). We ate all but the soup made earlier in the day. We brought out the lights and boogied to a kitchen disco. It was wonderful.

Tomorrow's activity: gardening.

(Not so good news today for my niece Florence. She has tested positive for Covid19 and had to cancel her 12th birthday party this afternoon.)
