TRANsport tracTOR

I had not seen one of these for years but I came across this nice example lurking in a shed today.

The Trantor (from TRANsport tracTOR) was conceived as a cross between the Land Rover and a tractor. It could travel on the road carrying people and towing and also worked on the land having high ground clearance and a power take off (PTO) to work machinery.

The Trantor was produced from 1978 first in Lancashire and then in Cheshire before later being produced in India. This one being 'V' registration, 1979, must be an early one.
