Blackberry picking

I remember, stained mouths and hands
Prickles, lovingly removed
And pies, crumbles and jam

I remember the cries as tender skin pierced
By cruel spikes, undeterred
Through layers of inadequate clothing

I remember the smells in the kitchen
Of rumbling tummies
And mouths watering

I remember the satisfaction
Time spent with loved ones
Appetites satiated

Four new tyres for the automobile this morning. Ouch.

Blackberry picking with Rae, B, HP, MR and AR. Fabulous fun. Cousteau got to run around and enjoy himself in the gentle autumn sunshine.

Home to a walk with JL, down at the river. So wonderfully autumnal.

Home again to a quick dinner and a trawl of the internet to try and work out what to make with aforementioned blackberries.
