Sunday surprise

A trudge through the heather brought us to this wee, perfectly-formed beach with its white sand and beautifully clear water - the perfect spot for the coffee and sandwiches we'd brought along. It was hazy looking west, so there was no real view but it didn't matter because it stayed dry while we sat and watched the seabirds (shag, skua, tern, razorbill to name a few), wishing we had brought our swimsuits.
