We went a little touristy today and walked up through the Carousel de Louvre through the Jardin des Tuileries up to Champs d'Elysee for some shopping. Don't know why, but I've always had a soft spot for Lacoste sweaters. Leah also found an extremely sexy, quintessentially Parisian striped dress. Everything was completely apeshit today, being the weekend and all. Could barely squeeze in the door at La Duree. And that Louis Vuitton megastore is fucking outrageous on all levels. This dapper fellow was the doorman at the Tommy Hilfiger store--he spoke extremely good English and posed immediately like a model when I asked him if I could take his picture. He hopes that the company will transfer him out to New York someday. I decided to wear my nice outfit today, even though we spent most of the day walking. As mentioned in previous posts, it just feels good being in a tie, sweater vest, hat, coat. On the way back, we opted for some street food: crepes. Saw a bunch of Scots in town (the kilts gave it away) for the big rugby match--apparently it starts at nine this evening. After we head out for our last dinner this evening, we may take in the game at a local bar or something. Already booked the cab for first thing tomorrow morning. And....Alain just buzzed our door and gave us our deposit back, thus officially marking the end of our time here.... but, next time we return we will contact him directly to stay here, thus bypassing the agency fee completely.

PS: looks like he's holding a purse, but that's actually the security gate bottom inside the store.
