Shillelagh Salute

by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick in the San Diego St. Patrick's Day Parade.
They marched up Fifth Avenue to Upas, then down Sixth Ave to Juniper while singing to the parade watchers.
They also performed cadence steps with movements using their shillelaghs.

The common foto choice for St. Paddy's Day Parade is usually:
a) bagpipe players (are they called bagpipers?)
b) Irish Dancers
c) people in outfits of outlandish shades of green with Faux Irish "bling"

I chose these lads because they were fun to see and hear.

people: Tommy, Penny, Kevin Calv (in parade)
places: Balboa Park, City Heights
particulars: used "secret" Upas St. path from East to West Balboa Park
