Tough love.

A few deft cuts with the bow saw and our large cotinus bush (or is it a small tree?!) was reduced to a more manageable size. It’s a healthy specimen and it’s dark purple leaves look lovely when the sunlight plays through them. Back on the ground our younger son pruned some more. It cost us lunch in the garden before he left for golf. My wife and I did a bit more tidying up later; certain gardening tasks can be messy.
