Hay Making

On our 37th wedding anniversary we decided to do something special. But before that we would just do a little work on organising the camper van.  Before we knew where we were it was nearly 7 o’clock in the evening, and there was no time left for something special.  Oh well, it was a very enjoyable and satisfying day!
What is really special I suppose is spending 41 years together with someone and still being very happy to be with them. After living together for 4 years we got married, 37 years ago today, in England before returning to Sweden, where we have since lived.
I spent most of today working on the camper van. In my case this meant figuring out how the bike rack works, using experience and instructions written in German (which I do not speak).  Eventually I had my bike up on the rack and adjusted things until they fitted my particular (e-)bike. It was not easy getting the bike onto the rack, which is basically at shoulder height to keep it clear of the back lights and number plate.  Did a bit of van washing too. The dust accumulates when you drive on gravel roads. Then decided to do the car too, as we were going to drive to our usual swimming spot in that.
So, we swam, listened to distant thunder, went shopping, and came home to some delicious soup and bread, followed by ice-cream, strawberries, and cake. So the day ended up a little special anyway!
