'Howl' of a Protest

Today the NZ Farmers brought their tractors and ute's to town to protest against the Government.

Their concerns are:

(1)  The Policy on Freshweater.  (2)  Significant Natural Areas, wetlands and Landscaped regulations  (3)  National Policy Statement on indigenous Biodiversity  (4)  Overseas seasonal workers not prioritised through MIQ for rural contractors, horticulturalists, dairy farmers and fruit picking  (5)  The 'Ute' tax  (6)  Land use change  (7)  High Country legislation.  Today has been the largest 'Rural' protest that NZ has ever seen.

The noise in town was deafening!  Horns tooting, dogs barking, tractors roaring, and people shouting clapping as the tractors passed by.

I walked into to town to get a good vantage point.  That was pretty impossible, because the traffic basically came to a stand still.  The main blip is of someone handing out flyers.which is where I got all the above information.  Extra (1)  Driving through town  (2)  Dogs barking  (3)  Driving to the parking area  (4)  Off for lunch.  I am at home now, putting my feet up.

The spouting man has just come to clear the spouting of larch needles.  A good job to get done.

Another Friday, so another weekend.  I hope yours is a good one.
