That was refreshing!

Mr Blackbird had watched me refill the water & dived in as soon as I came back inside!

He had a lovely bath but his feathers seemed to be drying very quickly in the hot sun ..... he was half dry by the time I took this! :-)

Extra: Small Tortoiseshell on the Buddleia.

We've seen two of these butterflies on the buddleia today .... at last they are starting to visit .... they weren't very keen on posing though!

It has been very hot though we do have a little bit of a breeze thankfully ..... another hot one forecast for tomorrow ..... Summer is finally here! Just wish the temperature would build up gradually instead of suddenly turning hot!
