A Quiet Place

Such a busy time in the garden: mainly weeding, feeding, deadheading, watering, cutting back spent perennials, splitting and moving them. I’ve set up a small nursery bed to accommodate ‘the splits’.
Just getting a breath of air whilst watching Dunkirk. A very poignant film for me as my father was wounded there, patched up and sent out again ending up as a Japanese POW. They were so young and so brave. I wish he had such a quiet and peaceful place but his life wasn’t like that.
