Scottish law applies here too

After LNER's announcement that they were abandoning social distancing on train services into Scotland, because that was the law in England now, all hell broke loose. After all, you can't pick and choose which law you want to follow.

As if by magic, this sign appeared at the farm shop.

I found a man looking at it, muttering. All a fuss about nothing, he said, it makes no difference. He went on, full of opinions with no basis of knowledge.

Well, societies do tend to contain a similar mix of stereotypes. There have always been plenty who have trouble working out you need a spoon to stir your tea. And booze & football trump all rational thought.

Social psychology is a complex subject, I know. Me, I’d rather be taking the French approach of well defined rules and forthright enforcement.

Sorry to go all serious.
