White on White ...!

Today the painter arrived to start on the gargantuan task of turning sixteen windows, currently walnut brown, into sixteen windows which are brilliant matt white!

We've been viewing new houses with son and daughter-in-law recently and have been very impressed by the bright clean interiors where all wood has been painted matt white ... so decision made ... we'd be going white too ... we just had to wait for the brilliant painter.

He arrived this morning (at 8.00 am), with his white paint, at the same time as more of the white stuff was falling from the sky ... white on white!

Day 1 over - seven windows started and already looking good ... he foresees three coats of paint on each window ... then they'll be brilliant!
