Finale in Hindeloopen

The last day of the IJsselmeer-tour already.
We woke up at 04.30 (after a good night sleep!) and went to a small lighthouse at the harbour entrance of Hoorn. Once there we saw that the pier it was on was overgrown with weeds and bushes. Bummer!
That shortened our sunrise shoot drasitcally and the thick grey layer of clouds didn't do any good either. We quit and went back to bed. We slept another hour and a half and then had breakfast, served personally by the great Jurriaan Berkhout himself.

Check out at 09.15. Medemblik was our next destination and our aim was to fly our drones around castle Radboud. Unfortunately Peter's drone had troubles with its wings. He couldn't fly but I went up and captured the castle from above. But with the overcast sky, the images are just ok, but not very special.
Peter needs new wings! So, it's back to Hoorn to the MediaMarkt.
Another dissapointment there: no wings available, only complete dronesets. No more flying this trip for Peter.

We then went to Enkhuizen for lunch. In the afternoon we went alongside the dyke towards the Afsluitdijk. Around 15.30 we arrived in Frisia, in Hindeloopen. We killed some time in the village, on a terrace. After dinner (delicious pizza) we went to the final location. A well known location amongst landscape photographers, the jetty somewhere between Hindeloopen and Stavoren.
We enjoyed a great sunset. A worthy grande finale of our trip around lake IJsselmeer.

By 22.30 we got into the car and arrived at home in Delfzijl just before midnight.
