Painted Lady

This was my first painted lady butterfly of the year, and my first blipfoto of a  butterfly. It was taken on mutter's moor in East Devon. The extra provides a more general view of this remarkable area with the purple heather, which is now starting to look quite stunning. My attachment to this area stems from childhood when as a small child I came here with my late father, to exercise our two dogs (a golden labrador and an english setter). Well done to Tom Daley today at the Olympics. I havn't met Tom, but his late father installed a shower for us. I am really pleased Tom has done so well!
