Mister Adaptability

I enjoyed watching a flock of Black-Headed Gulls this morning as they careered around a playing field. Being more manoeuvrable than the larger gulls they are adept at flying into narrow spaces to seek out scraps of food. It is also the one gull that can manage to perch on top of telegraph poles and even on wires! And so, apart from being Mister Manoeuvrability he is also Mister Adaptability! This one is an immature bird and doesn't yet have the fully formed chocolate brown head.
