Wasp's cousin

(...once removed?) Well, it is a member of the wasp family, and I took this photo before removing the critter outdoors. It's a very docile ichneumon wasp. EDITED identity, with thanks to Munni.

Mid-afternoon we said our goodbyes to our gorgeous granddaughter and her lovely mum and dad in order to visit my sister for the first time in nearly two years. So good to see her!
