Medieval

The challenge of photographing in a new place and one of natural beauty are many: in avoiding the blindingly obvious; finding something personally expressive; getting to the essence of a place; evading "wish you were here" post card syndrome, etc. All of which takes time and thought and reflection, commodities in short supply on a fleeting visit.

Standing on the end of the jetty, feeling wind on my face and listening to the gulls screeching and watching clouds scudding by, I tried to take it all in.

But in the end I opted for the view and waited for a gap in the clouds to light up the inside wall of the church to give it a bit of dimension. The bright green grass seems impossibly yellow and rather dominates the scene.
