Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Time, as they say, to grow a pair

Our pear tree had a very late prune this year, but hopefully it's done it good. We have a small crop. They're very tasty but like our apple tree the tree is rather elderly.
I had a meeting in Larbert today about the forthcoming Cursillo weekend so an early-ish start to the day. It was a lovely drive across, quite peaceful and the motorway was quiet.
Back in town I had an exciting (not) visit to Aldi and got home just five minutes before Kathryn and the girls arrived. They'd been in town looking at violins for Eilidh. She's just about the size for a quarter size. When Katy started, she was a couple of years younger, she had an eighth. We don't seem to have either the quarter of the eighth here now, but we do have a half, a five eighth, a three quarters and a full size as well as about six bows. We could start our own shop.
Had a lovely visit and stayed in the garden all afternoon. Isobel took great pleasure showing the Russian doll to her mum and telling her that it was so that when she was a grown up and looked at it, it would remind her how much she enjoyed playing with dolls when she was little. Gorgeous!

There's a pretty rainbow cloud in the extras.

High numbers of cases again today, a slight drop on yesterday though it may just be down to this being the weekend.
